| Summary: Reese had an excellent freshman season at Houston before transferring to Mississippi State for the 2025 season where he absolutely mashed in the SEC. With an OPS of 1.140 and 21 home runs, he was a monster in the middle of the everyday lineup. The swing is rather compact to the zone with length through it allowing him to handle any pitch, including inside fastballs where his hips clear well. He will expand the zone, especially against quality spin, but that did not hurt his production. Defensively he played in the outfield as a freshman before moving to the dirt as a sophomore. The actions are not completely natural, but there is potential there. The defense at third will likely be capped at fringe, but a guy who can handle a corner on the infield and the outfield while raking is undoubtedly going to have a lot of teams excited. | |||||||||||
