| Summary: There is good upside and projection in Frusco, thanks in large part to a long and still rather lean frame combined with the fact he will only just be 18 on draft day. His best pitch is his fastball that sits in the low 90s but has been up to 94 with plenty of carry and some solid run. The shape is above-average and could develop into a plus pitch if he adds the kind of velo the frame suggests. The best breaking ball is a low 80s slider with some depth, while he does have a change also in the low 80s that has flashed but is quite inconsistent. It is stuff over command now and there is some question about his future ability to find the command. The arm stroke is long back into a lower slot that has some inconsistencies in it and the foot can land ahead of the arm fire, missing to the arm side too often. If he can reel that in and add some pitchability, there is mid-rotation starter upside here. | |||||||||||
