| Summary: A ridiculous athlete, Owens has scouts who are high on him as a pitcher, others think he could be special in the outfield, but it is pretty widely agreed he will start his pro career on the dirt. He is a versatile defender with soft and confident hands and a pitcher’s arm than can make all the throws with easy from short. He has quality bat to ball skills and flashes the ability to drive the ball which should only improve as he fills out the lanky frame. Right now he has a hitterish look with a crouched stance and clean swing, although it can get a bit long at times. He has put up double plus run times, although it will probably settle more as a plus tool, which makes him a real threat on the bases and will absolutely play if he does have to move to the outfield. There is plenty of rawness to the game despite being the son of an 18 year pro, although dad Jeremy never did get that cup of coffee in the bigs, something Josh has every bit the talent to do. | |||||||||||
