| Summary: The son of 10 year NFL vet Dexter McCleon, who was drafted in the 13th round by the Minnesota Twins in 1993, junior will likely stick on the diamond. Currently a two way prospect, and rightfully so as he just finished his freshman year and is already up to 94, solid slider, and a change in the low 80s, I actually think he will ultimately be drafted as an outfielder. He has the athleticism you expect from an NFL defensive back and, naturally, it translates well to the grass. He is a quality defender in center field and has a plus arm just like the velo off the bump suggests. He has clocked 6.4 run times in the 60 and should only get quicker as he has a relatively mature frame already. At the plate he has a powerful stroke and real raw power, but there is some natrual hit tool there too. There are all the makings of a true five tool prospect here and there is no surprise he is widely considered the top prep talent in the country for the 2028 class. | |||||||||||
