| Summary: It would certainly be a surprise to see Willits reach the point in rankings that younger brother Eli reached in the 2025 draft, but don’t sleep on the elder Jaxon for 2026. He is a legit switch hitter, but more consistently gets hard contact from the left side, the heavier side of the “platoon”. He can really move down the line and puts in solid average run times to first. The ball jumps off the bat better from the left side, in part due to his hand set being a bit lower, allowing him to create a bit more loft than from the right side. Unlike his father Reggie Willits, who hit exactly zero home runs in over 1,000 trips to the plate in the big leagues, Jaxon should put up fringe average power numbers. Defensively, he can make all the plays at short and has plenty of arm for the position too, which should allow him to stick in the dirt. | |||||||||||
