| Summary: Shannon had some real interest in the 2025 draft, but ultimately the long and lean righty will end up on campus at Louisville. He is quite lean and has a ton of projection to go with quality current stuff. There will be plenty of Bobby Miller comps placed on Shannon, as they both attended the same high school before attending Louisville, but Shannon makes it to campus with better current stuff than Miller had. The fastball has been up to 97 while it sits low to mid 90s and regularly flashes plus thanks to plenty of sink and some run. He has a slider in the low 80s that shows quite a bit of depth despite being pretty low spin, while he also mixes in a curveball. His best offspeed offering though is a mid 80s splitter with plenty of late tumble and I expect it to be used significantly more in college than he used in high school. Obviously there is plenty of now stuff, but the projection in the frame is immense and there is potential to massively raise his stock during his time in college. | |||||||||||
