| Summary: Through two years at Bowling Green, Wright put up ridiculous numbers batting .380 and .396 in 2024-2025 respectively while getting on base more than 50% of the time in both seasons. He is not just a contact hitter though, improving form six to eight home runs and really finding his doubles stroke a season ago, putting up 20 of those. Now he transfers to Tennessee where I expect the power to take a half a grade to more of a step forward given their track record with a frame that is already prototypical for a catcher. He has a tall open stance in the box and gets some bat wrap in the load, but he fires the hands well and clearly gets the bat to the ball bell. Behind the dish he is not the most polished but he is a solid receiver with a strong arm and potential to become an average defender at the position. | |||||||||||
