| Summary: The results this summer have been inconsistent, but there are real tools here. Dugan has a heavy barrel that really allows the ball to jump with a solid hit/power combo. The swing is nice and compact helping generate good bat speed, really driving the ball especially to the pull side. He has plus speed and has a ton of athleticism all over the diamond. He is currently a shortstop and does have a shot to stick there, but there are definitely quite a few evaluators who think his athleticism could make him a plus defender in the outfield. He has plenty of arm giving him true five tool upside. While that upside is massive, he needs to show more consistency against top pitching. Should he make it to campus he would be a draft eligible sophomore, so model heavy teams won’t love the fact he will be 19 on draft day, but only just. | |||||||||||
