| Summary: The jump from the summer of 2024 to now has been significant for Webb, who’s gone from sitting 89–90 to living 90–94 and touching 98 in showcase settings. He works from a higher three-quarter slot, and his arsenal plays best working top-to-bottom in the zone rather than side-to-side. The fastball has solid carry at the top of the zone, where he’ll get most of his swings and misses. He pairs it with a true 12–6 curveball and a sharper breaking slider. The changeup comes in just 5–7 mph off the fastball but has enough life to remain effective despite the smaller velocity gap. Webb offers a four-pitch mix with a quick arm and a repeatable delivery, though there’s some effort in the finish that raises mild concerns. The raw stuff is plenty for a bullpen role, but the projection left in the frame and the depth of his pitch mix make him better suited for a starting role. | |||||||||||
