| Summary: Beaird, a physical southpaw from Collierville, TN is one of the top prep LHP in the country in the class of 2026. Beaird brings a fastball topping 94mph with plenty of swing and miss. The higher three quarter slot/over the top delivery induces 22-23 IVB with a spin rate approaching 2500 rpm’s. The arm action is long, though he gathers well and moves down the mound efficiently. The slider plays off the fastball, maintaining arm speed and flashing above average horizontal movement with depth. The split finger change is a work in progress though does show late downward bite as it approaches the zone. Though strength is present, expect Beaird to further mature physically and continue to refine the off-speed arsenal. With a fastball that produces consistent swing and miss, expect Beaird to be an early contributor for the Longhorns in 2027, if not signed with a big league club. | |||||||||||
Eric Dillinger is currently the Head Baseball Coach at Lutheran High School in Parker, Colorado. He is entering his 1st season after 8 years at Erie High School. At the club level, he has coached nationally for multiple organizations including the Colorado Yard Dawgs, the Colorado Rockies Scout program, and USA Prime. Dillinger is also currently the General Manager for D-BAT NW Denver. In addition to his duties as GM, he is also a senior pitching instructor. He is certified in Rapsodo Pitching and is also Driveline Certified (Pitch Design). Beyond coaching on the field, Dillinger enjoys helping athletes in the recruiting process. He has helped over 40 athletes find homes at the next level.
