Summary:
Hines is a physically imposing right-handed hitter whose game is anchored by plus pull-side power and consistent in-game impact. The strength, bat speed, and natural leverage all show up immediately, producing loud contact and easy lift to the left-field side. His swing is aggressive but repeatable, and even with a busy bat tilt in his load, he regularly gets into a strong hitting position. When synced, he shows true middle-of-the-order thunder with the ability to punish both velocity and mistake spin.

The hit tool remains the variable. Hines can get pull-heavy, and the hand hitch/barrel tip introduces timing drift that lengthens the swing through the zone. There’s enough adjustability and strength-driven barrel accuracy to project improvement, but the approach will need refinement to access his power consistently against SEC arms. Even so, the combination of physicality, intent, and bat speed keeps him firmly in the early-round offensive conversation.

Defensively, Hines profiles best in left field, though he has shown an above-average arm and enough present mobility to hold down right field until the frame potentially outgrows it. He’s a below-average to fringe-average runner overall, but he moves well underway and isn’t a base-clogger. Ultimately, the bat will drive the profile, but the defensive value is playable, and if the hit tool tightens, the raw power gives him a clear pathway to an everyday corner role.
