Summary:

Randall had a breakout year in ‘26 thanks in part to his best-in-class FB. He has been an elite late-inning guy for the Bruins and is looking to carry that momentum into this draft. At 6’4 and 235 lbs, he definitely fits the bill of a flamethrower RHP that can shut the door at any level. Presence and mentality on the mound are as legitimate as his stuff.

The star of the show is the FB that can run up to 100 and lives 95-98. Elite-level spin and life on the fastball make it hard to put in play. Randall likes to challenge up and in with his FB and can locate it down and away for K’s. SL has tight horizontal action, is firm at 85-88, and works well to keep hitters off balance. Mixes in the CH for variability and has good depth with arm-side action to it. Would like to see the CH continue to develop and use to set up FB more often. Tendency to overthrow and spike the offspeed at times, but has done well to stay efficient as of late.

Physical profile is impressive and utilizes his length with a high leg kick to fall down the mound and attack the zone with close to 8ft of release extension. This, combined with his quick arm action and low release slot, makes him very effective and tough to pick up as a hitter. Great potential for him at the professional level in the right situation. The FB is already top-notch; as he develops pitch sequencing and pitch design, he should create even more swing-and-miss and see much success out of the bullpen.
