| Summary: Lund is a physically gifted southpaw entering his junior season for the Cowboys. At 6’6″, 210 lbs., Lund has a lean but strong build, one that he’s worked to improve since arriving on campus. His workhorse frame was relied on heavily in 2026, logging 84.1 inns for OSU. He amassed 137 K’s and held hitters to a .212 BA during that stretch utilizing an arsenal that points to a starter in the long term. Lund’s fastball has been up to 97 mph, though comfortably sits in the 92-95 mph range. The ball jumps out of his hand with a relatively low effort delivery. Its accompanied by two high-spin breaking balls primarily working north to south. The curveball shows a bit more depth with late sharp bite. The slider is a bit tighter with slightly more horizontal action. Both have been used as out pitches for the lefty. He has flashed a change-up at times, though its a pitch that will need further development to be useful at the next level. Lund has a clean delivery, showcasing a fast arm stroke coming from a higher three-quarter slot. There’s some cross fire action as he strides to the plate veering more toward the 1st base side. He uses his height to his advantage getting above average extension at release. There was marked improvement in command from his freshman season to his 2nd year despite the smaller sample size in 2025. Should that trend continue, Lund should be one of the premier arms in the Big 12 this season along with an early round pick this July. | |||||||||||
