| Summary: Reeder is a long, lean righthander with a feel for pitching and a fastball that has room to climb. It sits in the low 90s and touches 95, and he stands tall through his delivery. More velocity should arrive as he fills out and cleans up how his body moves down the mound. He pitches only from the stretch, and he lands wide open to the first-base side, a part of the delivery that will need refining. The slider is the leading secondary. It misses bats when it’s sharp, thrown from the upper 70s into the low 80s. A softer curveball in the upper 60s to low 70s gives him a change of pace, and the changeup works with downward and arm-side action and a clear speed gap off the fastball. He projects as a starter. There’s length to his frame, a developing three-pitch mix behind the fastball, and enough feel to carry a starter’s workload. The delivery is the main thing to refine as he moves up, and the velocity should follow. | |||||||||||
