Summary:
Tyranski is a left-handed hitter whose game covers a lot of ground, with power, contact, and on-base ability together. He stands calmly with his hands low, shifts onto his back leg with a small toe tap, and swings with a short, tight stroke that whips the barrel through. The production has been strong, with real power to the extra-base hit, and he draws many more walks than strikeouts. He’s patient and doesn’t rush to show off his strength, and he rarely goes outside the zone.

The raw power already grades plus, mostly to the pull side. His rates of contact and chase, and the quality of the contact he makes, rank near the top of the college hitters, and the offensive profile has few weaknesses. The one thing he needs to do next is lift the ball more consistently. A long summer stint was an attempt to do that with weak results, though the ability to reach base stayed intact.

He runs well and is effective on the bases, and the speed shows in the outfield, where he can range into the alleys. He has played right field behind another outfielder in center, and he has the tools to move to center in pro ball, with right field as the fallback.

The power, contact, patience, and athleticism add up to a strong offensive foundation. Lifting the ball more often is what would turn it all into more impact.
