| Summary: Few arms have the upside of Quick, because few arms possess the physical traits Quick does. He is a massive human with a fastball every bit as massive as it is up to 99 with sink and run and regularly generates weak ground ball contact. He has a mid-80s sweeping slider with plus upside, and a CH right around 90 that he uses almost exclusively against left handed hitters. The release point can be inconsistent, but that doesn’t translate to a ton of walks, instead showing control more than command currently. He pitched out of the bullpen all of 2023 before making the rotation in 2024 where he lasted just three innings into his first start before blowing out his elbow. 2025 is an important year to show he is healthy and the stuff is real, since the track record just isn’t as long as you typically see from a first round arm, although the upside is that high. | |||||||||||
