| Summary: A 2026 reclassification, Willits is one of, if not the youngest players in the draft, as he will be just over 17 and a half on draft day. The son of former MLB outfielder Reggie Willits, there are definitely bloodlines that point to him being a quality outfielder, but don’t count him out in the dirt. He has ok range and is only an average runner but has excellent instincts that have him playing faster than the pure metrics suggest. He handles grounders well and has just enough arm strength to stick at short. At the plate, he is arguably the best pure switch-hitter in the draft, despite being so young. Good bat speed and a compact swing from both sides allow him to make a ton of contact despite some moving parts overall. There is a ton of predictability in the frame, so there may be above average power to come in the future, but right now it is more gap power. | |||||||||||
