| Summary: The Pacific Northwest to Utah Valley to LSU and all as a second baseman is not exactly the traditional route of a MLB Draft prospect, but that is the route Dickinson has taken thus far. There isn’t a pitch he can’t put in play, but that may be to his detriment at times. While he simply does not swing and miss, he does expand the zone too often and making impactful contact can be a struggle. While he has matured physically since his prep days, there really isn’t much more than quality doubles power in the bat. Defensively he can play some short if you really need him to, but the fringy arm is best suited for second where he can turn into a quality defender. There is some concern about the move from the WAC to SEC, but his time on the Cape and with the Collegiate National Team certainly did a solid job of quieting those concerns. | |||||||||||
