| Summary: Football fans of a certain age will certainly recognize the name, as his dad, Jorvorskie Lane Sr. was a power runner at Texas A&M before a brief career in the NFL as a fullback. The younger Lane has a strong build and excellent athleticism that has seen him play all over the diamond. He can catch, play short, or run down fly balls as a center fielder. I think his long term spot is in the outfield where the athleticism can shine on a corner. At the plate he does not get cheated, with big hacks and potential plus power, he very much follows in his dad’s power footsteps in that respect. While there is aggression at the plate, he doesn’t strike out a ton and should develop an average hit tool. | |||||||||||
