| Summary: With a loose, repeatable 3/4 delivery and a projectable frame, Alpert is a name that really rose over the summer and could continue to do so all the way through the 2026 draft. The fastball is currently up to 93, which doesn’t jump off the page, but he really knows how to use it and commands it well. He will attack hitters up in the zone, then snap off a sharp two-plane slider that has hitters regularly putting ugly swings on it. He has a change that is currently well behind those other two offerings, but it flashes well enough to believe there is a future in the offering. What really stands out is the overall feel to pitch, making him a guy that is already a pitcher ahead of a thrower, with plenty of projection for the stuff to creep into the plus categories. | |||||||||||
