| Summary: A righty bat until this summer, Hartshorn started hitting from the left side over the summer and found himself being crowned the Home Run Derby champion at the Perfect Game All American Classic and was a finalist at the MLB run derby while hitting from the left side. The power has always been real thanks to a mature and strong frame, but adding the ability to hit for power as a switch hitter is something that has scouts giddy. The swing did start a bit clunky, but it has become more fluid and he should be able to stick as a legit switch hitter. He has solid range in the outfield and an arm that was once up to 94 on the bump but it doesn’t play quite as well in the field currently as he has had elbow issues. He profiles well for a corner outfield spot, although there is some risk of a future move to first base. | |||||||||||
