| Summary: Strickland has been consistently adding velo to his game and there is more to come. Summer and Fall of 2023 he was sitting mid-to-upper 80s flashing the occasional low-90s, but sat low-90s over this past summer and runs the fastball up to 96.To go with the fastball is a really slow curve in the low 70s but he snaps it off well and is rather effective. He has a solid slider and a quality change, although all the secondary stuff needs some refining and consistency. That said, he can locate and sequence well, has a repeatable delivery, and the balls comes out of the hand easily. There is little doubt he has the profile of a starter moving forward, the progression of his secondary stuff will be key to him reaching his number three or four starter potential. | |||||||||||
