| Summary: I was already high on Kilen at Louisville after he showed more pop in 2024, and a transfer to Tennessee would only mean a ton of strength added to the profile, and that has certainly translated in 2025. He hasn’t seen a ton of time at short in college, but I do think that is his best position long term. He has an above average arm and good actions in the dirt. There will be some teams who also like him best at short, some who will stick with him at second where he has seen a bulk of his playing time, and I could even see some teams giving him a look at third. At the plate he has gone from a hit over power profile to a hit with real power profile. It is a simple operation and a good swing plane that allows him to make a ton of contact. His track record with wood bats isn’t great, so there is still some questions how well the newfound power will translate to pro ball, but Kilen has solidified himself as a first rounder and a guy who I would not be shocked to see picked in the top ten. | |||||||||||
