| Summary: My favorite player in the 2023 class, Rose chose to attend Louisville and therefore went undrafted. At Louisville, he has transitioned to be a primary outfielder, but there is still a shot he can catch. He is a great athlete and plus runner, incredibly rare for a catcher and a big reason he has successfully transitioned to the outfield. There is plenty of balance in the swing allowing him to get the bat to ball well and has a hit tool that borders on plus. There is plenty of juice in the bat too, with plenty of raw power but his ceiling is likely above average on that tool. Time will tell if the Cardinals give Rose time behind the dish in 2026 which could have a real impact on his draft ceiling. If he has a chance to show he is still a viable catching prospect, he has real top ten pick upside. If he is relegated to the outfield, he will still likely be a high pick, but likely slotting more in the middle of the first round. | |||||||||||
