| Summary: On the bump, Koeninger has a steep fastball with a ton of run into the mid 90s and has touched 97. He has a wipe out biting slider sitting 81-84 and a 12-6 hammer curve more 79-81. He has shown flashes of a change, but it is well behind the rest of his arsenal currently. He may have higher upside as a position player though, with plus speed and an arm flirting with plus, he is an athletic shortstop who can make all the plays and throws. He has good bat speed and the ball jumps off the bat. He can get too aggressive and the hips can drift out front too much, but when he stays balanced he can really do damage. The tools are massive here, it is just a matter of fine tuning them to get the most out of them as he transitions from a two way guy to either a pitcher or hitter, depending on what a team likes best. | |||||||||||
