Summary: Few players come into college baseball with the swagger and confidence Cannarella did in 2023. He was the ACC Freshman of the Year, and showed his fiery persona in the NCAA tournament. While his average dipped in 2024, he showed more power than he did the season before. The frame is not intimidating, standing just 6′ and is more wiry than big, he does have decent power. That said, it may be his lightest tool grading out about average, as does his arm. His best tool is his hit tool, as that could be one of the better ones in the class. He does not swing and miss in the zone and commands the zone well, rarely chasing. The swing is made to hit liners gap to gap, with high hands in the load allowing him to stay on top of the ball well. He can absolutely stick in center as he covers plenty of ground and has elite baseball instincts. His 2024 campaign was not as impressive or impactful as 2023, but he did battle a shoulder injury that seems to be behind him. If he is able to stay healthy, he has the potential to make his name one discussed at 1-1.https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js | |||||||||||
