Summary: A switch-hitting hitter with elite bat-to-ball skills, Bodine had an incredible freshman year, and a solid sophomore season. In 2023 he spent a good chunk of time on the cape and threw out 31% of would be base stealers. He went back again this past summer for just 6 games and seven of eight were successful. The hands are incredible busy behind the plate but when they are in the right position, he does receive well and does a good job keeping the ball in front of him. There is fringe-average power in the bat which will lead to more double power than home run power. The carrying tool will be the hit tool. He has a leg kick and and some bat wrap, less of each from the right side, but has great balance and the hips and hands fire well creating a quick bat.
