Summary: The power in Petry’s bat is second to none as it is a true double plus tool, although there are some questions about his hit tool. The hands start high and really drop down during his toe tapped load and the path can get long. The hands can also be inconsistent in location after the load and he struggles against spin and he will chase balls out of the zone. Defensively there is some debate as to whether or not he can stick in the outfield or be relegated to first. I think he eventually ends up at first, but it is absolutely worth rolling him out in right as he has enough arm for it.
