Summary: Heading into the 2024 season, scouts got out to UCSB games to see Matt Ager on the hill and Zander Darby at the plate, but they were treated to an unexpectedly impressive arm in Bremner. Still incredibly skinny and will just barely be 21 on draft day, he is a polished college arm that still has plenty of projectability. Coming out of high school, the stuff was average at best, so he had to learn to throw as a pitcher first who has since had loud stuff since developed into some of the best in college baseball. With that, he commands his pitches well, walking just 21 in 88.2 innings last season, and now has three plus pitches and a delivery that will stick in a rotation with ease. The delivery is controlled and easy out of a high 3/4 slot with some deception. The fastball sits mid-90s but has been up to 98, and that is his “weakest” pitch. His change might be the best in college baseball and his sweeping slider has flashed double plus. Bremner has a very good chance to be the top arm off the board in the draft.
