| Summary: The first thing that jumps out watching Moss at the plate is just how much he crowds it. He begins with his toes on the line and strides over the inside of the batter’s box, but still manages to handle velo on the inner half despite it. He has an good eye and excellent bat-to-ball skills, and real power to the pull side, although he lacks pop to the rest of the field. That said, his bat speed is some of the best among all prep bats which, combined with his location in the box, allows him to pull balls even on the outer half of the plate with ease. While he currently mans center field for IMG Academy, and he will likely start his pro career in center, his future is likely as a corner outfielder as he doesn’t quite have the range you want from a traditional center fielder. | |||||||||||
