| Summary: A JuCo transfer a season ago, along with his brother Malachi, Kyson started in the bullpen before working his way into the Sooner rotation in 2024. He has four to five pitches with a fastball up to 98, a cutter in the low 90s and slider in the upper 80s, and both a change and curve that are still well behind. With a quick short arm back, he does hide the ball really well and all his offerings come out of the same slot, but there is some real controlled violence in his delivery that does lead to plenty of reliever risk concerns. He offers a free pass every other inning, so not massive control concerns, and the command is solid too, it is more a question of whether or not the delivery will hold up numerous times through a lineup and handling a full workload at the professional level. This is one of those arms that has almost limitless upside, but plenty of risk at the same time. | |||||||||||
