| Summary: Lacking a clear position on the diamond is not the kiss of death it once was for a prospect, but it does remain a massive question for Ford. He only played first base his freshman year but there are some scouts who think he could be serviceable at third despite not being a quick twitch athlete. It appears he will be heading to the outfield this season where his arm that flirts with plus will play well in right. He will not confuse anyone for a burner and does not have a ton of range, but reports are glowing about his routes in the outfield despite such a limited amount of time there so far. At the plate his leg kick can land open and the hips can leak too leaving him incredibly susceptible to swinging over quality breaking balls. That said, he really handled velocity well and can turn over the top hand with strength to drive the ball well. He has great extension through the swing which only points to more power to come in an incredibly strong frame. | |||||||||||
