| Summary: Godbout is all about the hit tool. He is as polished a hitter as there is in this class with an excellent eye at the plate and a knack for fouling balls off, frustrating and wearing out the pitcher. When it comes to velocity, you cannot get a fastball by him as he has some of the best metrics in the country when it comes to fastball contact, but he recognizes spin well too. Once he makes contact, there just isn’t much power there, instead more of a gap hitter who uses the whole field and can rack up the doubles. His defensive position is a spot that is really up for debate, as he does not really have the quickness or range for the middle infield, nor does he have the arm or power profile for third. | |||||||||||
